Swift School Of Pharmacy

A fresher party, Aaghaaz -2019, was organized at Swift School of Pharmacy, Rajpura to welcome the newly admitted students for the session 2019-20.

Dr. G. Munjal, President, Dr. Maninder Mehmi, Asstt. Director and Mr. Anshu Gupta, Officiating Principal of the college welcome the newest members in the college.

The students organized various activities like dancing singing, skit and games for the young freshers. All the students gave their best performance which was applauded by the members present in the party. Ms. Lakshita and Mr. Raj Arun Singh were accorded the title of Ms. Fresher and Mr. Fresher. Mr. Vinit Kumar won the Mr. Personality and Ms. Pooja Soni won the Ms. Charming Title. On the occasion Dr. G. Munjal, President, Swift Group of College address the young freshers to work hard and achieve the best in their career.

AICTE under the ministry of HRD has started a campaign for tree plantation with a theme - One Student, One Tree. Students of Swift School of Pharmacy actively participated in the programme organised on 27th August 2019, at Swift Group of Colleges.

The students and teachers selected the empty places in campus and carry out plantation in a well-organised way. The saplings were arranged by students and teachers with the support of campus management. Participants were highly enthusiastic and were present caring placards with slogans promoting tree plantation and saving the trees.

The students planted saplings, and fenced them and watered the plants. Every step of the programme was appreciated by the representatives of the administration. The programme created a great awareness among the students. The students were further motivated by the teachers to take responsibility of caring their plants.

Swift School of Pharmacy, organized a guest lecture on Pharmacovigilance for final year B. Pharmacy students. Dr. Manish Kumar, introduced the speaker Dr. M. Wasif Khan, Head, Global Phamacovigilance, Evolet Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.

Dr. Khan is closely associated with Govt. of India for National Pharmacovigilance Program. Dr. Khan shared his experience with the students and gave detailed presentation on scope of Pharmacovigilance. It was a very informative and beneficial seminar for the students as well as for the faculty. At the end of the program, Mr. Nadeem Khan, HOD, presented vote of thanks to the speaker and Mr. Anshu Gupta, Principal Incharge felicitated him on behalf of Swift School of Pharmacy.
