Swift group of colleges celebrated its annual cultural fest Splash 2017

Swift group of colleges celebrated its annual cultural fest Splash 2017 on 24th March. The function was presided over by chief guest Dr. RC Mishra IPS ,ADGP, Dr G Munjal (President ,SGOC), Mr NR Munjal (Director ,Ind swift)and Dr VR Mehta (Director, Ind swift). Dr Mishra enlightened the students about fitness and importance of environment.

Students as well as staff members showcased their talent in singing, dancing, acting and cultural activities and won prizes. The spirit of togetherness were the glue that brought a diverse group of students together. It was successful and joyful event which ended with a dance party and followed by dinner.

Holi celebration at SGOC

Students and staff at SGOC celebrated holi in their own style and elan. They were full of zeal and enthusiasm and splashed colors on each other to enjoy this and welcomed the festival of new life and energy. Swiftarians were totally absorbed in the festive spirit.

Holi, the festival of colors ,marks the welcome of spring and is celebrated throughout India with great fun and frolic.

SGOC Annual Sports Meet (14 TO 16 Feb 2017)

Swift group of colleges organized a three day Annual Sports meet in campus from 14 to 16 Feb 2017. Students as well as staff took part in the sports meet with lots of enthusiasm in both indoor and outdoor events like Chess, Carrom, Cricket, Race, Volley Ball, Kho-Kho, Table tennis and many other games.

In the closing ceremony prize distribution was done by Dr G Munjal (President SGOC) and respected principals of all the institutes. The annual sports meet concluded with encouraging words of Dr G Munjal (President SGOC) who emphasized on the need of sports along with the regular study for the overall grooming of the students. The sports meet created fond memories with hope for new experiences in the coming years.

Students and Staff at Swift Group of Colleges celebrated Lohri with a lot of exuberance and funfare. A special show was organized by Canteeni Mandeer team from mh1 channel. The mood on the campus was upbeat and the Swiftarians were totally absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri.

Dr.G Munjal, President SGOC along with all the staff members and students did "Lohri Pujan" and offered prayers for the prosperity of the nation. Students sang songs immersed in rich cultural folklore of Punjab and presented giddha and bhangra.

Lohri is the harvest festival of Punjab, famously known as the bread-basket state of India. Thus, people residing in Punjab attach a great significance to Lohri, the festival of feasts and foods. This harvest festival is celebrated to mark both celebration and sharing.

The celebrations would be telecasted on 18 Jan'2017 in the show Canteeni Mandeer on mh1 channel.
