National Pharmacy Week (NPW) was celebrated at Swift School of Pharmacy on 19th- 20th November 2019. Indian Pharmacy Association has given the theme for this year was Pharmacists: Your medication counsellor. The celebrations began with the Pharmacy Oath ceremony conducted by Mr. Anshu Gupta, Assoc. Professor, Swift School of Pharmacy. The following activities were organized during NPW celebrations 2019 on first day session:
• Poster presentation
• Collage making
• Rangoli
• Best out of waste

It was followed by the official inauguration of National Pharmacy Week celebrations and speech by chief guest Mr. Ankush Mahajan, Patent attorney, Ideas2IPR, Noida, Delhi. In his address, he highlighted the role and significance of intellectual property rights and Drug Regulatory Authorities, in enforcing the laws related to pharmacy profession. Next, the guest of honour, Parminder Singh, Sr. associate, Ideas2IPR, Noida, Delhi, took the podium and gave a speech on The roles and responsibilities of pharmacist in intellectual property rights in the current scenario. In the post-lunch session, Brig. (Retd) G. J. Singh addressed the students regarding their future and career opportunities of Pharmacist in defence services. The participants and winners of different events were awarded. The program concluded with Vote of thanks by Dr. Sushma Gupta, Principal SSP, to all the students, staff and management for their participation and support.

An educational trip to Ch. Devi Lal herbal nature park, Chuharpur, Haryana was organized on 16th October 2019 by Swift School of Pharmacy. The students of B.Pharmacy 1st & 5th semester enthusiastically participated in it. The students enjoyed and felt wonder on knowing the herbal plants. Students explored almost 200 medicinal & traditional plants used worldwide. This helped a lot in enhancing knowledge of the students regarding medicinal value of the plants. It was a wonderful trip and students have given positive feedback for this trip.

The Worlds Pharmacist Day was celebrated by Swift School of Pharmacy, Rajpura. The event was organized on 25th Sep.2019 in Pharmacy Department. The theme for this year was Safe and effective medicines to all. The event was started with an introductory speech of Principal Sir Mr. Anshu Gupta regarding history and importance of World Pharmacist Day. Mr. Nadeem Khan, HOD, shared a theme based presentation and instructed the gathering regarding the pharmacists role in safeguarding patient safety. The stress was given on improving the medication use and reducing medication error. At the end of the presentation, a theme based questioning round was held for students. All the students and faculty members enthusiastically participated and celebrated World Pharmacist Day.
