M.Sc.(N) and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing 2nd year students of Swift Institute of Nursing participated in National Pulse Polio Campaign (migratory round) & volunteered themselves for this esteemed service.
The service was catered to all infants & children below the age of five in Rajpura & adjoining places with special emphasis to the migratory people. Their efforts were highly commendable & appreciated by medical officer of Civil Hospital Rajpura.
On 8th Nov 2012 Swift institute of nursing celebrated World Immunization Day in Vill: Chaurmastpur Distt: Ambala. The event was organized by the students of under the supervision of Principal and Faculty.
The aim of the event was to provide education to the community people about immunization and its importance. The event was organized at anganwari of Vill: Chaurmastpur.
A Role play about the importance of immunization was enacted by the students of B.Sc. (N) 4th Year students, they showed how non awareness about the immunization lead to diseases during the lifetime of a person. After this health education was provided to the rural people about the immunization schedule and new vaccinations that should be provided to the children.
The program was ended with a talk about the immunization and vote of thanks to the group of mothers. The whole program was appreciated and enjoyed by the village people and demanded to organize such events in future also.

The aim of the event was to provide education to the community people about Diabetes, its causes, prevention and management.
An awareness rally was organized in the Vill: Chaurmastpur. The rally was flagged off by SMO CHC Chaurmastpur. Students enthusiastically participated in the rally. The rally started from CHC Chaurmastpur and after going street to street of the village it ended up at the anganwari with a health education session.
An open discussion was held and the queries of village people were answered by the faculty and SMO.
The whole program was appreciated and enjoyed by the village people and they demanded to organize such events in future also.
