Swift Technical Campus

In SIMCS, Management Day was celebrated on 21-02-2013. There were various events to be conducted therefore a two days program was organized for the same i.e. 20-02-2013 and 21-02-2013.

Day - 1

There were three competitions on day 1 the details are as follows:

1. Rangoli
2. Poster making
3. Best out of waste/waste product management

All the events were judged by our CEO Academics, Dr. V.K.Arora and SIMCS Principal Dr. Jaskaran Singh Dhillon.

Day - 2

The following dignitaries were present:
1. CEO Academics- Dr. V.K. Arora
2. Principal Nursing - Dr. Saroj Parvez
3. Principal Pharmacy- Dr. Rachna
4. Principal Management and Humanities-Dr. Jaskaran Singh Dhillon
5. All Faculty members of SIMCS

The program started with a cake cutting ceremony. All the above dignitaries were invited to cut the cake. The first event was a play on student's psychology. The next event was a Management quiz. It had various rounds like: business, identify various personalities, logo identification, buzzer round, general knowledge rounds and sports. 6 teams participated in the quiz. Then the students were given special tips on quantitative exams.

This was a short cut to get rid of mathematics problems. The next upcoming event was Add mad show including 5 teams. All the teams were supposed to prepare humorous advertisements in only five minutes time.The last event of the day was a social play " Begani Dhi" in which again social management and its need in the society was focused. The students were awarded with their certificates by Dr. Jaskaran Singh Dhillon and it boosted the students for future participation.

The Guest Speaker was Dr.Shashi Bala Jain former Director of Dev Samaj Colleges. She has 42 years of teaching experience and is also awarded with Punjab Ratan Award by All India Association Of Intellectuals.

In her lecture, the speaker included points on various current topics, like:

Malthusian theory,
Demographic theory of transition,
Human Resource as human capital,
HDI (Human development Index)
Mainly on Demographic Dividend.

She also talked about women empowerment to skill complete100 % population of the country. She elaborated Sarv shiksha abhyan started by the govt. to educate all Indians equally, she also addressed the students to be sharp learners and good listeners, she focused on the two basic needs of the hour i.e. Education and enhancing Skills.
She focused on political governance and elaborated that it should be simple and smart to be helpful for all and also to be understood by all easily.

Towards the end of the lecture ,various questions were asked by the students and the speaker answered all the queries.

She felt happy to be here and also thanked the students to be interactive with her.

There were 22 old members in the old age home.

A team of Staff & Students of SIMCS presented them with Shawls & Loi's for the use of the old age persons for the winters.

Keeping in mind the health of the old age persons students also presented food items including milk and fruits.

Team had a good & invaluable experience during their interaction with them. All the elderly people got emotional and felt happy and pleased after meeting team members.

Students also felt emotional and felt the importance and presence of elders (parents and grandparents) in life & families.
